Yesterday Melanie shared with me Beth Terry’s blog, FakePlasticFish.com. At first I thought, darn this was supposed to be our unique project, but then I realized, wait that’s awesome, someone else doing a great job to change her personal habits and raise awareness at the same time. I’ve barely gotten into her blog, but what I’ve seen so far about her life with less plastic has been educational and fun all at the same time.
The video below is Beth’s entertaining report on her plastic consumption for 2009. She ended up using 96% less plastic last year than the average American. In her video she shares some great ways anyone can “live life with less plastic” (that is her blog’s tagline). Also, “no way man”, has become an overnight household phrase for Melanie and me, be sure to listen for it in the video.
That’s just an intro to the great information Beth has to share. I encourage you to go check out her blog at FakePlasticFish.com. I know it is going to be a valuable resource for us as we continue to learn more about the true environmental impact plastic has and how we can personally reduce our consumption of it.
What do you think about Beth’s reduced-plastic lifestyle? Can you see yourself making any of the changes she has made or have you already made some of them? We’d love to hear from you, so join the conversation by leaving a comment.
